Hobbies & Toys
My first and best hobby is music. I
play the Tenor sax, and a Yamaha keyboard, Ukulele & Congas. I learned the sax in high school and learned to play the keyboard
using a chord computers to teach me how to hold piano chords. I'm with a band called
"Kanepono" doing songs from the present and back to the
60's and older. Yikes...an I'm only 28.
We also have a Mobile Disco that specializes in
music for the older generation. It's called
The
Creation of Sounds
I'm a Ham Radio operator holding an Advanced Class license of
KH6JPL
or Kilo Hotel 6 Just Plain Lazy. I have a 2 meter FM repeater high atop Mauna Kapu (above
Makakilo) on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. The frequency is 147.120 Mhz. +600khz for
transmit. This repeater played a very important role in restoring communications between
Oahu and Kauai during the destruction of hurricane Iniki in
1992.
Ham radio operators throughout the state pulled together to assist in any way we could.

Next is computers - I can spend hours on them everyday... I have a Sony
PCV-RX681 VAIO desk top with a 2.2 Ghz. CPU, 120 megs hard drive, 1 gig RAM,
CD-RW and DVD-RW and a flat panel screen. It's a beauty...
I love Harleys too, I've got a 2006
Road King Custom. I sold the Fat Boy. Check it out here.
Finally I flew
radio control airplanes and
helicopters though I haven't done either in a long time. More recently
I've purchased the radio
control simulator that really saves me a bunch of money.. ha!
